About Backsies

Backsies is a mobile-first lost property platform for schools and families, built around QR tags, private parent alerts, and a simpler school recovery workflow.

Each tag belongs to a family account. When an item is found, a school or finder scans the QR code and Backsies relays the alert without exposing personal contact details to the finder.

The current business model is built around a low-cost parent subscription, mixed QR tag packs, and free school participation so adoption friction stays low.

Our goal is practical: reduce waste, reduce uniform replacement spend, and give schools a repeatable way to clear lost property faster.
